Qualikom Canada "5D" solution approach
Qualikom Canada employs a five step process for all projects. These five steps are: Desire, Definition, Design, Development, and Deployment.
Desire:
Customer desires to develop, correct or deploy a new product or service. Qualikom Canada will meet with the client to discuss the actual wants, needs and requirements for the project. This meeting will gives us the general idea of the client's expectations. In the first meeting we will discuss all of the wants, needs and the "must haves". Together we will identify the target web site audience, evaluate some competitor's web sites, and review the business objectives and marketing goals. Then generate a "wish list" for the project, web site or web application.
Definition:
Qualikom Canada helps the client to define the scope of the project. This involves several meetings with key people to gather enough input to get an organization overview for the project. We define user groups and profiles, which includes language requirements. It is at this phase that features and functions are defined and technology options are discussed and decided upon.
Design:
The design phase involves many of the Qualikom Canada, creative talents and construction of conceptual layouts. It involves multiple graphic design concepts for the user interface. At this stage we will and consolidate the ideas to produce a final design that meets and exceeds expectations.
Development:
During the development phase, the design concept is finalized, multimedia components are finalized, database design is completed, and all programming is accomplished. This is also when we stress test the design to assure high quality and functionality.
Deployment:
Finally the project is launched on the Internet. This typically involves the coordination of what hardware will be used to host the project, the installation of necessary software and hardware, and training individuals as required.

Since 1997 Qualikom has evolved from html, FrontPage, Dream weaver, to ASP, and now ASP.NET. We are currently recommending that all new application projects/development on the new .NET platform. This type of advanced, web development environment allows us to build more complex sites quickly. We anticipate development costs to be lower as much as 40% less compared to when using ASP.
Microsoft (ASP, VB) Qualikom will use this platform only if the customer requires it. The majority of our previous work had been developed in ASP, therefore we continue to maintain existing sites in this environment. ASP is relatively simple to develop in and easy to deploy. This lets us deliver fast competitive solutions.
